Context
Zendesk is a leading customer service platform that combines ticketing, a help center, and messaging. It is used by support teams from small businesses to large enterprises, and is known for its flexible agent workspace and broad app ecosystem.
With Unless, your Zendesk help center articles and resolved tickets flow into Living Knowledge and out again into your own public Help Center, so the agent answers from material your support team already wrote and trusts. The Team Assistant sits inside the same Zendesk workspace your agents use, drafting and answering directly from Living Knowledge and related tickets, and looping in a human agent, with full context, only when a case needs one.
This is where Living Knowledge earns its place next to Zendesk’s own help center: it combines Zendesk articles and tickets with everything else you connect, other documents, your website, other systems, into one holistic, always-current Help Center, instead of a view that stops at Zendesk’s own walls.
Key benefits
- Works inside the agent workspace: Your team answers tickets from Zendesk’s own agent workspace, with Living Knowledge and related tickets pulled up alongside, instead of switching to a separate app.
- Handover with full context: When a person is needed, the conversation passes to your Zendesk agents, or to email, with the whole history attached.
How does it work?
Living Knowledge draws on Zendesk articles and tickets to ground the agent and keep the Help Center current. The Team Assistant then works from inside the Zendesk workspace itself, answering from that knowledge and related tickets until a case needs a human agent, at which point it hands off with the full history.
Install instructions
Once at the Integrations tab of your Unless dashboard, you can select “Configure” for the Zendesk integration. This will open a popup where you can connect your Zendesk account and set up the integration. Once the integration is active, you’ll find a new “Add Zendesk articles” option in the “Add training source” dropdown in the AI zone.
