Storage
Google drive
Version 1.0 · Last updated 2026-06-10
Context
Google Drive is Google’s cloud storage and file service, part of Google Workspace. It is used by individuals and organizations to store and share documents, and is one of the most widely used file platforms in the world.
With Unless, the files you store in Google drive feed Living Knowledge, the engine that keeps your business knowledge current. Documents flow in as grounding data and publish to a Help Center on autopilot, so your AI customer agent answers from your own content.
This is where Living Knowledge differs from a built-in help center: it combines and deduplicates everything you connect, from documents and tickets to websites and merge requests, into one holistic, always-current Help Center, instead of a view limited to a single tool.
Key benefits
- Better data quality: Unless ingests the exact content of your Google drive documents, without the clutter a website import brings.
- Always current: When your Google drive content changes, Living Knowledge updates, so the agent never answers from something stale.
How does it work?
Unless pulls documents from Google drive into Living Knowledge, where they become grounding data for your AI customer agent and feed the public Help Center embedded in the agent.
Security Notice
Create a dedicated Google account for this integration rather than connecting your primary account. This limits access to only the specific folders you choose to share, enhancing security and data protection. Do not directly connect your own Google account.
How to integrate
Once at the Integrations tab of your Unless dashboard, you can select “Configure” for the Google drive integration. This will open a popup where you can connect your Google drive account and set up the integration. Once the integration is active, you’ll find a new “Add Google drive documents” option in the “Add training source” dropdown in the AI zone.
